Day 01
ARRIVE CAPE TOWN Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in. Spend the balance of the day at leisure.
Day 02
CAPE TOWN (B) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. You will be collected at your hotel for a Private Half Day Cape Town City Tour.
Ascend Table Mountain for unforgettable sweeping views (weather permitting).
Return to the city through the Malay Quarter, past the Castle, and around Table Bay to Milnerton lighthouse.
Here we can see Table Mountain from the same perspective as the early settlers did when they sailed into Table Bay.
Travel to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
Return to your hotel and spend the balance of the day at leisure.
Day 03
CAPE TOWN (B) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. You will be collected at your hotel for a Private Half Day Cape Town City Tour.
Travel at a pace that allows you to explore the beauty of the Cape Peninsula.
Depart for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve along one of South Africa’s most scenic routes, passing Hout Bay.
Enjoy a cruise to Seal Island, to view seals and sea birds at Duiker Island (weather permitting).
During summer, several thousand Cape Fur Seals – along with the rare Black Cormorant – lollop leisurely among the kelp beds.
Continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
The scenery en route to Cape Point, at the South Western tip of the reserve, is particularly lovely in spring when wildflowers carpet the landscape.
The new lighthouse – the most powerful in the world – beams an electric light of 19 million candle power across the ocean.
Ascend to the top of by Funicular.
Visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Then drive through the historic naval base town of Simon’s Town.
Return to your hotel and spend the balance of the day at leisure.
Day 04
CAPETOWN – KNYSNA (B) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out. You will be collected at your Cape Town based hotel. In the company of your driver/guide enjoy a Private 3-Day/2-Night Garden Route Tour. Depart Cape Town and transfer down the Garden Route to the coastal town of Knysna (5-6 hours by road).
Explore the quaint town known for its art & craft shops. “The place of the people, beauty and mystery.”
This ever-popular charming town of legend, history, arts and crafts catering to visitor’s every need or fancy.
The town is built on the banks of the Knysna Lagoon, a National Lake Area that falls under the protection of South African National Parks, is a home to more than 200 species of fish – including the rare Knysna seahorse – and is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
Embark on a ferry trip on the Knysna Lagoon to view the famous Knysna Heads aboard the pleasure boat, the John Benn (weather permitting). Upon arrival at the hotel, check in.
Day 05
KNYSNA – OUDTSHOORN (B) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Oudtshoorn for a full day guided tour.
Oudtshoorn is the ostrich capital of the world.
Nowhere else are ostriches found in such great number and nowhere else do they produce feathers of such fine quality – but the world’s biggest bird is just one attraction in an area of enormous contrasts.
The small, crime-free town, built around a wide green belt, is the commercial centre of the Klein Karoo – a rolling plain that is surrounded by towering mountains.
Thus, all roads into the district follow stunningly beautiful mountain passes and all present the traveller with an interesting, scenic drive from the Garden Route, Cape Town or the hinterland.
Enjoy a guided visit at the Cango Caves.
Visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch.
Enjoy a guided visit at Safari Ostrich Farm.
Day 06
OUDTSHOORN – GEORGE – JOHANNESBURG (B) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out. You will be collected and transferred to your Johannesburg based hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in. Spend the balance of the day at leisure.
Day 07
JOHANNESBURG – KRUGER (B,L,D) Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out. Take the complimentary shuttle transfer to Johannesburg International Airport for your flight. Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (MQP) is serviced by South African Air link (part of South African Airways) and the following flights.
* *Note: Please note for clients staying in lodges located within the Kruger National Park (Shishangeni, Jock Safari etc.) the three afternoon flights arrive too late to get the clients to the lodge. This is due to the strict gate times of the Kruger National Park. We would therefore suggest not booking these flights. From Cape Town.
Flight costs are not included in the quote. The flight details are provided for information only. Upon arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (MQP) you will be met and transferred to your safari lodge. Lunch is served at the lodge upon arrival (arrival time permitting). Afternoon game drive which may continue into the early evening in order to view the nocturnal animals as well. Dinner is served at the lodge.

KRUGER (B,L,D) Early morning wake up call. After tea, coffee and snacks your ranger will escorts you to his open safari vehicle for your morning game drive. Return to the lodge and enjoy breakfast. Balance of the day at leisure. Lunch is served at the lodge. Afternoon game drive that continues into the evening. Dinner is served at the lodge.
Day 09
DEPART KRUGER (B) Early morning wake up call. After tea, coffee and snacks your ranger will escorts you to his open safari vehicle for your morning game drive. Breakfast is served at the lodge. After breakfast check out and transfer back to Hoedspruit Airport to connect with your onward flight. Note: Depending on your flight schedule, you might have to add an extra night in Johannesburg.

- MEET AND GREET: upon arrival in South Africa by our representative (Johannesburg only).

- ACCOMMODATION at the hotels, game lodges or rest camps specified in the itinerary, on the basis of two persons sharing a twin-bedded / double bedded room with en suite bathroom, or shower and toilet. The attached quotation is based on the use of standard rooms at hotels unless specifically stated otherwise.

- TRANSPORTATION in a 7-seater with a qualified driver, for all journeys specified in the itinerary. All drivers are equipped with cellular/ hand phones to ensure 24-hour contact and the best logistical support available.
